Blogging again

So, after nearly a year of not blogging I've decided to start again. I've missed it, but I just had to many other things on my plate for awhile. Things haven't really slowed down, but I'm going to give blogging another shot.

A lot has happened in the past year. I took over designing the yearbook for Sunshine's school, became the "popcorn kernal" for his cub scout pack and joined the communications committee at church. Among other things.

Thanks to a friend I got a jumpstart on my plans to do freelance writing next year and wrote a pile of film synopses for one of her clients. Hopefully this will lead to more work in the coming year.

Regardless, Angie has inspired me to seek out writing assignments and be proactive in writing and sending out stories on spec. to publications. I've been keeping very busy with that and I'd be lying if I said that wasn't part of the reason I'm reviving my blog. Mark is building me a website and when it's finished I may have him link over here so potential clients can see a bit of my writing. Or maybe not. The name was chosen because my old yahoo email address that I've had for years sounded better than just my name, but I wasn't really wanting a businessy business name.
